This Third Generation of Computer is mainly more advanced than the first and second-generation computers. These third-generation computers started in 1964 and ended in 1971, and these third-generation computers mainly started using an integrated circuit (IC) instead of using transistors. The integrated circuit is a material consisting of thousands of tiny transistors. Therefore, computers with the help of integrated circuits become more reliable, and faster, require less maintenance, generate less heat, are smaller in size, and are less expensive to buy.
